(  ) What’s the surest sign that a product has become a pop-culture phenomenon? When it becomes generic, like Xerox, Cola, and Kleenex, BlackBerry has joined the club.

(A) It is a common phenomenon that a product has to join a club to be popular.

(B) It is a sign that a product must have a generic name to become successful.

(C) Like Xerox, Kleenex and Cola, BlackBerry is the latest product that has shown a sign of joining a cultural club.

(D) When a product is extremely successful, it also becomes a name to stand for all similar products on the market.

Step 1：瀏覽句意，找出主結構：“What’s the surest sign?” (什麼是最可靠的標誌)。

1. n. 符號、標誌、手勢、跡象

   What does this sign mean?

   這符號是什麼意思呢？

   The city government should put a traffic sign at this intersection.

   市政府應該在這十字路口放上交通標誌。

   Deaf-mute people have to communicate by signs.

   聾啞人士必須用手勢進行溝通。

   There is scant sign of progress in Roy's studies.

   Roy在學習方面鮮有進展的跡象。

2. v. 簽名、簽署、做手勢

   請在這張紙的底部簽上你的名字。

   Are you ready to sign the lease?

   你準備好簽下租約了嗎？

   The teacher signed to her students to stop talking.
