很多同學看到句意解析的題型常常會心生疑懼，其實句意解析的題目，最重要的就是找出題目的主旨，然後挑選答案選項當中跟題目主旨較為接近的就是正解了！英銘老師幫我們列了幾個步驟，只要好好參照，就可以輕鬆的掌握句意解析的內容取得分數。

(  ) Humanity is one family, sharing the same origin. When one member is afflicted by tragedy, the pain resonates through us all.

(A) Human life is characterized by tragedy and so we must show compassion.

(B) Everyone in the world is a member of the same family when humanity is in danger.

(C) We belong to the same “family” in the world, and so every one of us shows compassion to those who suffer.

(D) The pain is so strong that every one of us in the same family can feel.

Step 1：瀏覽句意，找出主結構：“Humanity is one family” (人類是一個大家庭)。

補充：

humanity  n. 人性、人(類)、人文學科   (often)

The catastrophe also exposed the darker side of humanity.

這場災難也暴露了人性的黑暗面。

How can we turn aside from suffering humanity?

面對受苦受難的人，我們怎麼能毫無同情心呢？

Hilary is a college student, majoring in the humanities.

Hilary是一名大學生，主修人文學科。

Step 2：形容詞子句“sharing the same origin”(共享相同的起源)修飾主要子句。合併之後→人類是一個大家庭，共享相同的起源。

補充：

origin n. 起源(因)、由來、出身、血統、原點  (always)
